Tutorial Ideas
A lot of people request tutorials and guides via Biorust, but I don't get time to make them all. For this reason, here is a list that I will update regularly which shows tutorials requested for Biorust. This list will undoubtedly be useful if you want to create a tutorial for us but are short of ideas, etc.
Adobe Photoshop- Blood Smears on Walls, etc.
- Advanced Character coloring & detailing (from sketch)
- Anime/Cartoon Skin Textures
- Professional blemish correction of portraits, etc.
- Color Burst Text effects.
- Creating custom graphical icons (professional).
- Damaged Mesh Textures.
- Detailed explanation of curves.
- Making Sparks.
- Peeling Objects
- Puzzle Textures & Puzzle Pictures
- Smashed Glass (& Bullet holes in glass).
- Pressed-in Buttons (i.e. buttons in their 'pressed' state).
- Glossy Photo Effect (i.e. as in http://forums.biorust.com/photograph...over-cool.html (The cover of "Be Cool") )
Traditional Media
Not yet an active category, but there is a LOT of interest for tutorials that teach drawing and cartooning techniques on traditional media (i.e. with a pen/pencil and paper). If you need ideas, FARP is an absolute gem, and is exactly what I would love to see!
HTML/CSS/PHP/JS- Simple Gallery with mySQL
- Simple Gallery without database software
Adobe Illustrator- 3D shapes from stroked paths using 3D Revolve Tool.
- Editable 3D Text (Extruded, etc).
- Funky Blend Effects.
- Glassy Buttons.
- Use of Brushes & How to make in Illustrator.
- Hand-drawn look (via scribble).
- Opacity Maps.
Cinema 4D- Caustics & Caustic-Effects.
- Glass Modelling & Texturing (Objects).
- Dynamics (gravity, friction, collision, pendulum actions, etc)
- Detailed Character Modelling.
Any more ideas? Place a reply in this thread and I'll add them to this list...

As far as the proffesional masking tutorial goes there is a very straightforward tutorial that I learned from on another site. It covers everything from basic use of the pen tool, cutting out an image, to using your path you made to make a vector shape. I have a copy of it saved, if you'd like I would ask if we could use it as well giving her credit? Have a look for yourself to see if it would be worthwhile. It's always produced the best results of any method I've ever used. I used to use knockout 2 prior to finding this.

Ahhhh, we already have a tutorial on vector mapping over at http://www.biorust.com/tutorials/detail/62/en/ . What I mean in this case is complex masking on difficult subjects (i.e. Hair, etc) using only default tools. :]

Did you have a look at it? It's primary purpose is masking off objects? The vector shape is just a nice side benefit.

Errr... yeah! Same subject as my tutorial at that URL! Its not a feasible method for amazingly complex shapes though...

RE: Realistic Fluffy Clouds
Dave Nagel recently released a nice set of Photoshop brushes for creating clouds.

While you're there, check out some of his fur and hair brushes, too.

Well, I suppose I could do a tutorial teaching basic drawing skills, but again, I wish you would be evn more specific as far as the topic is concerned. F.A.R.P. contains a lot of stuff on art, would it be worthwhile to hit on the same topics they cover? Should we aim for different schemes? Or try to build our own 'Basic-to-Advanced' set of encompassing tuts?

I've always admired FARP, but I don't see why we can't have our own set of tutorials covering similar basic-to-advanced topics. There is a massive lack of proper tutorials/guides for traditional media, so this is a definate niche to fill, and any content written for it would definately not go into the 'more of the same' category that many Photoshop tutorials seem to fill.

[ PHP ] Request.
Basically, I would love it if you could do a tutorial on how to award someone with a 'badge' with your usersystem.
I'm not too good with PHP but i had a go, and failed.
Thanks.
