This tutorial is both easy and amazing! I would have never thought of this, but now I love it! I think I might make some backgrounds with this effect. Great work!

Nice tutorial

It gave me some ideas for abstract paintings. It also could be used to make mountains. I'm sure though much more work is needed to really make it look like water. It looks more like paint strokes right now than water.

Nice...

Good tutorial...however, I got it to look like REAL water more by setting the blend mode to 'DIFFERENCE'.
