I really want to master this technique. However, following all the steps written above my shine doesn't appear in the text, only in de background or, if i move the layer with shine, over the text ànd the background... I really think there is one or more steps left out of this tutorial, can somebody help me out here please??? would really be gratefull if you did..
kind regards,
Jan

No there isn't any steps left out, cause I completed this tutorial and it turned out perfect.

It was kind of misleading in the part where they said select the layer you want to add the shine too and they selected the backround and not the text which was shiny in the final image.

Thanks for the tutorial!

Suggestion

Why don't you use the tween effect. Place the shine layer at the beginning duplicate the frame. move the shine layer to the end at the right and click the tween (the little dots next to the duplicate frame button). You can specify how many frames and it will come out much more fluid.

Worked for me, too. Good job.

EDIT: I've since changed my sig and this one doesn't use that effect, but it's a good effect, nontheless.

Angry Please help!

I've been trying to follow this tut, but when I import the image over to ImageReady and start to duplicate the frames to move the shine, the previous shine remains and the whole thing ends up "shined". I can't get this to come out right. Starting to frustrate me! What am I doing wrong??
