Biorust T-Shirt Design Competition
Well, the time has come to decide who will be worthy enough to have their design featured on the official Biorust T-shirt! So, here's the deal - design a high resolution graphic suitable for print that will adorn the back of the entire shirt (the small front logo has already been designed by Yusecki), and submit it to the Competitions > T-Shirt Competition gallery subsection. The theme of this logo can be anything you like, as long as it is unique, simple, and preferably somehow relates to digital artwork. Here's a few pointers to remember: - The t-shirt base will be white cotton. Bonus points will be given to designs that go well with other colours though. We'll have all the colours available to us that 99dogs.com allow.
- The graphic must be suitable for print, so please keep the number of colours down to a minimum.
- Vector graphics tend to be more suitable for print work than raster graphics. If you decide to go down this route, just upload a preview of your vector to the gallery in .JPG/.PNG format, and if you win i'll then ask you for the source vector privately.
- There is no entry limit for this competition, so feel free to submit as many entries as you like.
This competition will close on the 20th September, and a winner will be chosen shortly afterwards. The lucky individual who wins the competition will earn themselves 99dogs merchandise of up to $50 in value, the privilege of seeing their artwork on the official Biorust clothing, and a nice phat +50 point bonus to their forum reputation.
So, many thanks to those who compete... and good luck!

sounds like fun,
i would seriously suggest to poeple that you should work in at least a resolution of 5000 x 3000 pixels. Because the larger the image, the more detail there is in the print. I would also just stick with vector because most t-shirts are vector and bitmap is just a pain in the ass to configure.

I wouldnt say that it is going to be tough. Its just hard to find decent inspiration. What im going to do is look at other t-shirt companies products and what makes them so hot and then get a rough ideas as to what is required.

I've heard that you can get photoshop to do some vector stuff but how? And I DLed gimp once but somehow it screwed up my web browser (opera) and I had to uninstall Gimp and reinstall Opera. :P Unless someone knows another Vector image program (free please)

Well, you dont HAVE to do proper vectors - a nice high resolution image should suffice in any format. Just make it big, bold, and beautiful and you'll be in with a chance!

I just thought i'd remind people that there's now less than 7 days left in this competition, so if you wanna compete get those entries in! So far there are only two entries, so there's still everything to play for!

Well, it doesn't HAVE to be in Illustrator. A very high resolution image would do just as well...

Oki-dokes, the deadline has now passed. I'll close this thread and open a new one as soon as I have the finalists selected.
