I'm at it again, but this time with my other site Search For Soccer! Check it out and let me know what you think! I'd have to say this is probably my most favorite design to date.

Still unsure on the brown and black combo I really like the orange though its a LOT better mate love the new featured graphic and like the little touches like the pins and the hovers over the pages at the bottom.

Think the thumbnails for the sites are great! very eye catching and it fits together well I was wondering wether or not I should have google ads on my website and I like how you've added that as a subtle touch at the bottom of the page.

Actually, I think the brown & black colour scheme is rather apt. I don't know if this was what you had in mind but it reminds me of old-fashioned leather footballs and "proper" football boots. (Being an old geezer, I remember these well...)
