New Portfolio Design

After a bunch of fail designs, I finally came up with this. It doesn't boast a lot of powerful graphics, but I wanted to do a small site. It is made for my personal portfolio although may be expanded later on. Currently there is no support for Internet Explorer nor WebTV. It should work in the rest of the main browsers. It is best viewed at 1024x768 or higher. Tell me what you think of it and if you find any bugs in any part of it please tell me.

So far it looks pretty nice. I like the simplistic design. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see it with some content.

I have 1024x768 and it seems a little small. Though bear in mind I'm having computer trouble right now so it might just be my browser playing up.

Seems ok to me! Doesn't leave much room for content, and it can be kinda hard to read the text at a high resolution though.

Thanks for the comments, I might try increasing the text size and see how it looks. It should be good for content, because each box can expand as far as it needs vertically (doesn't show beacuse of lack of content).

Some parts of it use PNG alpha transparency and MSIE doesn't support it. It also doesn't align correctly at all, but I haven't even looked into it.

Oooh omg!!

Did you slice the PNG in something like Macromedia fireworks? Because that program can convert your PNG to html+images without losing any quality at all and then you don't have to worry about MSIE reading PNG.

I had the SAME issue with transparency with a website I was doing and the only way I could save the transparency was with using a PNG and slicing it up, then exporting it with Fireworks.

It really works well.

I have zero idea if that helped, but I just recognized that problem myself.

Still looking great though!

I've never tried using Fireworks for slicing images, I'll have to look into that. The only way, I found, to get MSIE to display them correctly caused them not to load at all in other browsers. So I would have to create a seperate version for MSIE but I doubt I will do that. But I'll check out fireworks and see if I can use that.
