My first 3D render
well, i decided to try and delve into the world of the third dimension. i found an excellent tutorial and managed to turn out a piece
i used lightwave 3d to render this...
be kind, i am a n00b remember

Hey, not bad! Lightwave has always been good for outputting fast, smooth, glassy results. Now all you need to do is add some candy or something to the bowl...

I love lightwave so much. That is a brilliant first render. my first renders were hideous. I still think the illumination and glass material looks way to fake. There are many tutorials on how to make real glass in lightwave so look out for them.

It's nice for a first time render... and i can know. I've just started with 3d too...
One advice: throw down the opacity of your material a lot and give it just a hint of color(like blue or a blueish green) and turn up the speculation of your material too... Then give it another try...

You may also want to apply a heavy reflective map to the glass surface to give it a me, reflective feel.
