Chess scene...

I'm busy with making a scene of a chess set... here's how I have gotten now:

Just the pawn and the bishop are done and I still need to add the shadows...

***UPDATE***

I also finished the tower

A very nice start Malboroman - I can't wait to see it finished! Are you going to go for a wooden or marble chessboard base? Either would look fantastic IMHO...

I'm going for a marble chessboard and the pieces will be a metal of some sort... I'm coming along nicely, so you can expect a lot of progress in the next few days.

It took me an hour to make these two, but these are the easiest to make. But I think I'll live

Hey your learning 3d pretty well. You using subdivision methods on this one?

I like it so far. Its a bit early but keep up the good work.

That looks pretty awesome, keep up the good work. I dont like you camera position and lightning. i think it ruins your render. change the angle and light setup and you have a winner. I like your material properties. The board also looks abit messy at te edges.

The board is also way to thin... I still have to work on all the extra's like the board and the surroundings

Thumbs up :)

yah i agree make the board thicker...the peices look awesome though itd be rad if the other side were like a rough silver and itd look pretty kool to have the chess board on like a stool in the middle of a dark tavern type setting i know its easier to say then do i'm just throwing the picture thats in my mind great job though
