3D building WIP

Hi, I'm currently playing with Sketchup Pro and Vray in between the odd few hours I get away from working on clients' stuff and started modelling a house I had drawn some blueprints out for a good number of years back. I've found building "prefab" objects within both Max and SU to use as drag 'n drop objects very useful.

I started this more as a sampler for me to test the possibilities and limitations of Sketchup, but it's turned into something I'm enjoying using.

Vray support for Sketchup is no where near as advanced as the Max version, but it still does a bloody good job of calculating GI solutions.

Feel free to leave any comments, and enjoy the renders

Jimmy

Looks damn good - I wouldn't know where to start with this kind of thing. Just one question: in the 3rd image, is that an electric socket in the middle of the floor?

LoL yup, you noticed then, the workspace in Sketchup is a bit limited so its easier to create your objects somewhere easy (I chose the kitchen floor) then saved out to the object library and put where ever I want form then on...

Ah - OK! I should think there's some kind of Building Regulation or Health & Safety ruling that prevents you installing electric sockets in the middle of a kitchen floor...

Not according to my neighbour "the insane electrician", I have sockets in places that would make the H&S bloke cry :P
