Chevy Bel Air
I've been digging in to 3d modelling and this is one of my first serious attempts to create something goodlooking... It's still a worl in progress, but hey... at least I'm getting there

OooOOh, very stylish! At first I thought it was a bit boxy... but Chevy's ARE boxy anyway! LOL! I can't wait to see the final version! =)

Thats a pretty good start.
Are you using box modelling techniques on this car?
The polygon count is insanely high. It still looks pretty good but there are to many waste polygons that will slow down your rendering in the end.
I suggest you keep on working on this one, and post us some constant updates.
wow atleast we now have another 3d artist, lol

Bah, maybe I should get into 3D art. The gallery at RealSoft really, really, really, really, really impressed me of it's potential.
@malboroman - Nice work. I like it a lot, keep it up. I know the outcome will be great.

I am using box-modeling for thiss one... Point-to-point modeling is just too difficult for me. And the polycount isn't that high... I'm just using a hypernurbs smoother, that doesn't slow the rendering down that much.
And I wouldn't call myself a 3d-artist yet... It takes a lot of patience to make such a thing, and that is one of the things I seem to lack.

cinema 4d is very easy to use. i tried it out and got to grips with it after about 20 minutes. I would suggest to any one starting 3d to learn cinema 4d, its got such a nice interface.
Developing patience is one of the hardest things to do, when you start to learn 3d. I now have the ability to spend about three weeks on one peice alone.
as for the model: it looks flawless but again the polycount is pretty huge, keep up the good work though. i want you to finish this one.

Marlboroman, I look forward to the finished model!
I happen to be fond of the Bel Air!
