Lightbulb Ahhh... The fresh smell of a new Layout!

So I made a new layout... This must be version 5 or 6 about - too bad I never get around to coding them and finding hosting.

This time I was going for a simple scheme (So don't tell me it's boring!). Luckily this layout only took me 2 days. The portfolio on the right is going to be stand-alone if you were confused. I was thinking that since the site is a portfolio, it should be accessable from all parts of the site. Also, the 'image preview' will change when you rollover an image link. (I might even add a few rollover easter eggs )

The one thing i'm not sure about is the colors. Does it seem to faded? I'm really not sure what to do. The text seemed boring as all black, so I tried to liven it up a bit with some blue, but i'm not sure if it looks good or bad. Please critique!

Actually, I like it. Simple and clean. Black text that turns blue upon rollover sounds like a good idea to me. I always like easter eggs! Not everyone would agree, but personally it is like finding little treasures....fun and unexpected. I also like the portfolio idea, however the layout looks a little unbalance. Can't really put my finger on anything definitive, but it is in the portfolio area. Overall, I like it a lot.

Yeah, there is something wrong with the portfolio area. I think it might be the font size. I'll try making it smaller.

nice. It's very well done. A bit small, but overall a good job.

A very nice design - clean and easy to read! I'd make it a bit bigger though - you have hardly any room for the stuff peeps came to see (i.e. the content! ).

Indeed very clean, also, the bright colours make me positively inclined towards your site as soon as it opens. Not because I like light colours - I actually donīt- but because this scheme is positively laden, if you know what I mean. It might be percieved hospial-ish, but I got to say I like it. Itīs a bit small, but this doesenīt have to be bad, although Iīm not sure how itīd look on a projector. You might be better off enlarging the whole thing, if even just a little.

I like it. The design, the layout, is very nice. Itīs untraditional, always a plus, and in a way thatīs not confusing or dumb. Yay!

Ty everyone,

About the size - I was planning to have the 'image preview' be the only thing you see of the image until you click it. I'm going to open the images in a new window instead of displaying them on the main site panel. With the size, I was going for something that most resolutions can view without scrolling. I will most likely implore some iframes, but maybe not.
