jaguar

hi

i found this photo on the internet and could'nt help but liking it, what do think
the jaguar is thinking look's well laid back.

anyway i thought to would make a good challenge for myself, i've decided to
photoshop the whole photo by using soft brushes from 10 px up to 300 px.

i've put the basic colour overlay on the image which took a hour or so, now i'm going to have to blend colour's in and correct colour lightness and darkness, i thought if i use a scatter brushe's e.g a fine speckeled dot brush i might get the fur effect a bit better this is where a lot of time will be taken up.

i know there is to much colour on the nose.

any idea's would be helpful.

this is far for finished

He is SOOOOOOO ADORABLE! *cuddles*

Two things in your image though the right eye (from perspective, not the leopard's) looks a bit sad, while the left one looks normal. And the left ear (same) looks a bit blurry.

I SO HEART THIS JAGUAR!

Looks Neat Andy! Nice Work!

Of course, you know that you've used a photo that's copywritten right?

Just be careful where you publish your final piece.

Mike!

hi unlesh

to do the basic colour over lay with the softbrush's took about 1 & half hour's
but i really going to take my time blending in the colour's and getting the right fur effect going, i think this could be a labour of love design as i'm going to spend lot's of time on it mostly the fur effect with speckled dotted soft brushe's. it could take age's.

Mike!
all right mike

i got that photo from some poster site i'm not going to make any money out of this as it's going to be for my personnel use as i thought it would be a good test to put forward to myself and make a change from doing club flyer's.

yep the person who took the photo has got the copyright and if i took that photo i would mostly likly to, but a photo like that should be shared in my eye's it's a one off and profit or ownership should'nt come into it with something as beuiteful as that.

but i know the person has the copyright and full respect for such a good shot.

thanks for the comment on neat work, nice work.

andy.

i've added a grass brush in a colour of orange on the black spot's to give more of a effect to
the fur, have to add some kind of effect on to the rest of the fur to make more real life.

also started to add a background which i will shade and clear up more but give's you the
general idea what the picture might look like after it has finished.

don't know if the sun in the background look's the right size " i've added a sun shine to the left hand side of the jaguar's head.

Very nice to see how you project is going on. The last one is nice, but personally I think the light of the the sun is a little bit to strong.
