my first layout, and I want criticism

this is my very first photoshop layout I made. But I want very harsh criticism. If you see something wrong, or something you would change, tell me
here is the link

Its a good first draught, but there are a few things which stand out to me:

1. There is no little grey margin to the RIGHT as there is on the LEFT.
2. The header has lots of empty space. Try and fill the black in with something.
3. Its very grey, which isn't too bad by itself, but all the extra colours you introduce are in the header. You need to distribute/repeat them throughout the design or else your colour theme will be unevenly distributed and look bad.

There... that should keep you busy forra while!

you love doing that, don't you? thanks!
you mentioned colours of theme and even distribution. Any suggestions? because I was possibly thinking of a group of content boxes with similar color categories...but...I don't know...a kind hand would help...

thanks, but honestly, I am semi satisfied with it overall, simply put some portions
in the logo, and the header, as I look at the biorust site (for instance) there isn't really any smudges and such. and I can only attest this due to the image quality of it (gif).
1. is this the best image quality (as I sliced my psd file)? or can I get a much clearer picture
2. I also plan on chaning the gray area (under the logo, banner, and such), I plan on making it a bit easier, so I can make a better table out of it
3. after the slicing phase (well...yeah) the problem is, I only have notepad (not even notepad pro) any suggestions of getting actual content on the webpage?
I do see a lot of errors with it, probably because (i did it) but I thank yall for the criticism

Actually, it looks (to me) a bit like one of my old portfolios. Or, I should say, a step - even more like a staircase - up from mine. I think it looks quite nice, and apart from the critisism already served, I canīt see anything wrong with it.

Well, if you use red in the header, for example, make sure its repeated on the bottom, as a hyperlink mouseover, on the sides, etc. As an example, look at the colour usage of this very forum. It has different shades of blue and green all over and not just in the header. In fact, the only colour not repeated lots is the orange, and thats because its only used for system functions. There's nothing wrong with having concentrations of colour, of course, but I think that spreading it makes for a more aesthetically pleasing result in the end...

Eh...Dreamweaver isn't that great. Some things are helpful, but the tables feature can get really annoying. Notepad is sometimes the way to go. I guess is depends on what your trying to do. Nice site though. Mog pretty much sumed it up.

Nice design overall, but you kinda overused the bevel option. Use dodge and burn tools. Look much better.
