Here is Beta 1 of a website i am doign with a friend of mine. He is doign the flash work and i am doing the HTML, CSS, and eventually PHP coding for the insides. Tell me what you think of the layout.

Side note: The code will be fixed mid this week either tonight or wednesday. When you hit the links they dont work and the home page shows you the enitre home page insde the content area Flash and all. The members login is no longer part of the home page either. So basically i would like you guys to comment on the flash design atm then i will repost the final beta (Beta 1.1) later this week.

It needs a bit of work i'm afraid m8. The dark red just doesn't sit well against the white background, and the red text is a nightmare to read against the grey. I'd also ditch the lines moving upwards continually on the bottom - they give me motion sickness!

this might sound mean... but start all over again. there isnt much there, and what is there is awful. the red is ugly. the grey is uglier. the 3d header is cheesy, the font for the navigation is a really bad choice. and the animation get annoying.

If you are going to use Flash, explore all its capabilities and use that to your advantage within your design. Thinking outside the box, so to speak. Here are a few examples of some good flash design sites (some elaborate and some simple in design), as well as a few links to flash resources sites. Hope these help spark your imagination. I would love to see what you come up with.

Yeah i have nothing to do with the flash, havent gotten into it yet. My friend does the work. And Evdawg, not mean at all. Is good imput. The site is still heavily in the making so if the site is ugly and needs to be changed then so be it . I hope to get plenty of reviews and use those to step in the correct direction.

EDIT: just took a look at the flash sites. That first one.....just wow. Looks like i will have to get into deeper codeing techniques if i wish to do anything with site building If i land the job i want this summer i should have plenty of time to learn flash etc. Thank you for showing me the light
