Looking for tips

I have what I think is a killer wallpaper, yet, I feel it is lacking something, something is missing, and I have yet to figure out what that is, any suggestions how I can make the wallpaper better are welcome. Anything I might have done badly..you are also welcome to tell me.

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

*edit

here is one with a bit more realism added with color...

hello Chica-X

well, i'm not a professional, i'm just a beginner, so maybe my advice won't be as good as the other's

i'd like to say that i love both of them, i like the color u added in the 2nd 1, but it looks little darker than the 1st 1, if it's possible to make the 2nd 1 as light as the 1st 1, that would be lovely!

and, u r talking about a missing thing, well, maybe if u added a small sad angel, or maybe a girl is picking up the pieces like in ur txt, would be great as well

i relly love ur background

and, wait till the others see it and give their advises, cause i'm sure u will find better than mine

Both are good pieces of artwork, but:

1. I think they're too busy and in-your-face to work as wallpapers.

2. Your type needs some anti-aliasing - it's too "jaggy" at the moment.

Hé Chica,

I like both wallpapers..but I have to agree with neveen and Tamlin....I like the second one better...but it should be as light as the first one....!

And like Tamlin said it might be a bit in your face for most people....!!

Well....keep on it !!

I like the concept, although my first thought was the center area is too dark and heavy. I see the reasoning though.

The text doesn't fit the image though. At least in how i was reading into this; on one hand you have the dark anger of what I assume is a breakup or betrayal, then you have a tagline that portrays acceptance. The two kind of clash (which is actually not bad). I would add a little to drive home the accpetence and moving on part. Maybe ghost a silouette in the background on the right of someone looking upward, perhaps even walking away.

As for it being too busy, perhaps for a wallpaper, but it's still a nice piece.

Well, anything I would say has already been said by the great minds of BioRUSTers, but i do agree with them....

Both are beautiful pieces of art and I prefer the second one with the coloration.

As a wallpaper, I find them very heavy, and i prefer wallpapers where the main subject is not centered but rather off to one side (or corner).

I found the font a bit cartoonish but for the first time ever, I think I may disagree with Tamlin... i found the jaggedness of the text suited the piece. But again, that's a personal preference.

I see why you've darkened the second image, if you did not, the pinkish tones in the centre might be somewhat lost amidst the chaos so to speak, so in my opinion, i wouldn't lighten the image much if any.

Well... that's my 2 cents.

Mike
