I need suggestions and help? logo for tshirt/jacket

Ok so, yes Im finally turning to you guys. I usually go straight to you guys when I need help with something. But for some reason I held back. Basically because I dont want you guys to think Im an idiot. Or stupid. But anyways, Ill just say im making this logo for a few friends. Its a long story but anyways, since im the only one thats some what graphically inclined, I decided to make the logo for our shirts. Now they we want the red, yellow green colors. The tshirt and jacket will be already black. So were going for reggae colors. Now the one with the two plumerias, or flowers, will go on the shirt with the hawaiian islands on the right side of the shirt, like on the hip. The one with just the islands and da union will go on the back of the jacket.

Number 15 is my favorite, number 11 is nice. I think that it does look alright with the flower and the islands but the girls said it looks too much so I took it out. Now number 8 Im beginning to think it just looks too much with both flowers.

Also the guy that will be printing it, maybe maybe not, said that since the jacket will be black (this would be for #11), and I wanted to keep the words black but put outer glow & other text effects, he said that you wouldnt be able to see it from like 8 steps back. Which I guess is true..

I guess what im asking for is opinions. What you guys think. The girls are worried about getting our **** stolen also. Like ideas but sometimes you gotta take chances. Because being that Im not that graphically inclined, I need some help from people who are. People who can help me out. Anybody?

Is this to be emroidered or screened onto the jackets?

I'll assume screend since it would be extremely expensive to have them embroidered.

I'll be honest I had trouble following your descriptions...and I don't know what you are referring to with #15, #11, #8.... but the images look great.

I think the "reggae" colors take a bit away from the other two images.

I'd be really keen on seeing how the flowers turn out... If really hope your guy is able to duplicate the softness of the flowers!

It would be heat press. and as for the numbers I was regerring to the image's saved name. if you can see it.

Ok.. now i understand what the numbers mean... duh!

I much prefer #11 to #15 and I definately think the DA UNION will stand out!

If there is a signifigance with the Jamaican colors ("reggae colors") # 15 works but those outstanding flowers are gone!

If there is only one choice, #11 has my vote.

Yep, I'm with notjustgraphics(Mike).....i think that #11 would be my favorite

i think that one should be used because the other one is to big in the first place, and the coloring on the leter seems wrong....

Just to be different - I like #8. I think it looks more "balanced".

Ok I like 15 with 11's style. Without the flowers for the jacket. But my girls are wanting to put the islands on the side of the shirt like it would be on our right hip, plus the flowered logo on the front of the shirt.. do you guys think that would be too much?

Hmm, no i don't think that that would be too much......
But i think you should make the island logo smaller then alot smallet.
And if i was you i wouldn't use to bright colors for the island.

Ok let me see if I have this straight:

On the Back of the Jacket: #15
On the front of shirt (breast?): #8
On the lower right side of shirt (hip): #11

If i'm right, i think you've got a real nice looking Shirt.

As for the jacket, I have to be honest, I'm not crazy about the colors especially after seeing the colors of #11 & #8.

I think it would look real classy if the jacket was black and the crest matched the colors of the shirt.

My 2 cents.

Ok, well so I got into a 'online fight' with the dude thats suppose to do my stuff because he thought i was going with cafepress.com to print my stuff when hello they dont have black womens shirts or zip up hoodies so i said the hell with him. I dont work with someone that makes me feel awkward or makes me feel like **** you know. So yeah, im looking locally. As well as online. But anyways, I wanted to ask, would someone like make something for me.. with what you see now, colors red yellow green, shirt will be black so black background, or transparent. Dont spend choke planny time, (alot) if we like it and use it, i will pay you some moneys. If thats possible to do that on here.. Correct if I am wrong.. let me know if you need the islands graphic or the flower brush. I guess ill explain again what I want?
Shirt: I need the 'DA UNION' in caps in the center, over the breast part of course, with the two flowers on either side, and also the islands we want going across the right hip, I can make that.

Jacket, The islands on the right and 'DA UNION' to the left side and 'we do what we like' in caps under neithe 'da union' all words in caps.

so please correct me if i am wrong and erase my post if you must if this isnt allowed. Thanks!

Well, depending which one your making shirt or jacket, Id like it under 1200px width X 1600px height or 8 x 10 inches. But big enough to look good on a shirt if you know what I mean..

and 300dpi?

I just want to know do I don't make it and have to remake it :P

You know I dont know, honestly Ive never messed with dpi unless a tut said or my insctructor (when I was in school) said to. So I wouldnt know. Im not sure if it needs to be a certain dpi or something for a shirt or jacket..

well, I was told once that 300 dpi was needed for clear printing, so I would assume its the same on a shirt. It just makes the sizes bigger than they really are....
