I just need to know what the hell is wrong with this site. I understand a few of you dont like the layout like the structure but its what my clients want. But Im talking about the pictures and how it ties it. What I can only change is the pictures, but my client dosent want to really pay for stock pictures even though their fairly cheap. If I can change or add something to the pictures to make it more wow.. or something.. she wants the structure like that but im sure i make some kind of changes to make it more appealing i guess you can say.. the eye picture is 50 50 to me.. the middle picture has to stay there and the lastpicture is of my sons god mother who is a model.. ok well.. let it begin..

What I see is the photos are progressively lighter going from left to right. Perhaps some contrast changes and slight hue changes?

The eye photo looks out of place. Compared to the other two, it's too dark and needs a bit of sharpening, but even if you did that (and maybe used the Match Color tool to make its colours fit more with the other two photos) it still looks "wrong" from a compositional point of view. It would be better if you used a full-face shot so it matches the other two in style and content. If you don't have any suitable photos, and your client doesn't want to pay for a stock photo, you could always try using a royalty-free photo: there are quite a few sites that offer them.

dont you still have to pay for royalty free photos? I used brightness and contrast ill post what I have done.. Ill try and use the color match tool.. thanks

Royalty Free Photos are not necessarily free. Royalty Free only means that you do not need to pay royalties to someone for their work. Most often these works are sold at a flat fee up front. You can find a lot of excellent stock images at sxc.hu that are completely free (they also have images that are not free).

As for the specific images I would suggest replacing the eye image with another instead of trying to manipulate it. I also agree with Tamlin that a full face image would flow better than a close-up.

One suggestion, to make the images fit better, would be to give them all a soft-glow (similar to the third image). To get the effect you could try duplicating the layer, put the blending option to "Soft Light" or "Overlay" and then apply a gausion blur. Then just adjust the layer opacity until it looks correct.

Thanks, I will try that. I also agree that the first picture needs to be replaced but we are lacking pictures that we can use. So ill look there and im suppose to take pictures of my friend today. So maybe something will come out nice. Thanks guys!!

Oops - yeah - that's what I meant. Free, as opposed to ones that you have to pay for.

ok so what about one of these? I like sample 9 better than 10 but their both nice.. i havent added the extra glow to either pictures.. Let me know what you guys think.. if the person dosent email me back for a response and people have used it before but just left a note or whatever on how they used it does that mean I can use it without permission or?? Heres the two photographers that I chose.. well the pictures..

I would say, out of the two, sample 9 is the more balanced.

yeah I like sample 9 the best. I have to do the glow effect and hopefully the person that took that picture will respond like.. soon. real soon. i want to code it already!

or what about this one? i did the blur and overlay effect, the 3rd picture was originally or it looked like that.. so i didnt apply anything to it.. let me know what you think about this one i posted..

Yeah - that looks good. How about if you flipped the photo on the left so that the inclination of her head leads your eye into the page? - see the attached. Just a thought...

Why did you change the first picture from sample 9? that was the best one. The second one (middle one) looks like it is squished. Can you put it back to the correct ratio & make it a bit farther away? The last one, I think it would best if you put her whole face in a bit off center.

Ive been having to change pictures because they arent my pictures so I need permission but I dont have time to sit around and wait for permission, the last submission I made is my own face, as for the middle picture that picture was smaller than it is now and I looked for that same picture but in a bigger size and I cant seem to find anything. The last one I cant put her whole face, I can try but we'll see.

anyone know if I can put eye liner on my eyes in the first picture, ill attach it so I dont confuse anyone.. Thanks
