I like the first one better now that you made it softer. But that middle one really looks a bit wraped. Do you have to use people? You could look for public domain pictures for like water falls or leaves with dew drops, pebbles, calm type things?
For eye make up, use the brush in photoshop on a different layer. Then use the blur to make it softer.
Is this for a client?

yup.. I think she wanted to use that picture (the middle one) because the machine she uses the picture displays it being in use. I cant really fiddle around with the pictures that much anymore because I need to start coding already but am having difficulties placing the right "looking" picture for the first box. I will try that brush tool for the eye liner. Hopefully the person that took the picture in the first box in sample 9 will respond to me and I can use that.. hopefully..

out of subject but,
if the pictures are going to be enlarged when you click on them, I advise you to take a part of picture which would be suitable widht and height for the space you took for them at main wieving, resizing them as rectangle make them looks so bad. but to get a part from the orginal size as big as thumbail, and to display it at main site would give a plus to looking of site.

maybe I couldnt explain enough clear, photo.graphixel.com display method of picture at this site would clarify what I meanth

No the pics wont be enlarged when clicked, its the links that will be taken some whea. meaning the information pages for each links. the pictures are for like.. what each pack of links are about.. Ill check that site out anyways

So I got the go to use sample 9's picture which made me so very happy.. so heres what Im thinking might be the final.. let me know what you think.. should I also put lines under the links so that they know its clickable?

I would definately suggest adding either underlines or some other marking to indicate the links. Since in this instance they are very close to the rest of the images they need to be defined.

If I have to be honestly, I didnt like the taste of your client at all

Anyway, to have underline under the texts are enough informative. People will understand that, they are standing there as links.

Give also mouseover efekt. I mean when you complete the site, change the arrove colour to something else. (notlink only arrow)

and the next time when you ll start to design a site, I suggest you to check colour combination, from //// COLOURlovers :: loving colours since 1981
