Original size was 3500x3500, it was aimed to be printed on A4 paper at 400dpi and it looks great.

Tools used: realsoft , photoshop

Work Time : 1:30 hours

here's some C+C for it: The angle that it's coming from is very nice, as with the blue foam/smoke. It's really a wonderful peice of work, BUT:

The typography is awful, as well with 1pixel thick lines in the smoke.

Your abstract work is definately coming along m8! You might consider making that vapour stream come from some sort of object on the crystal surface though. It might also be an excellent opportunity to create a funky crystal mouth or something too...

heheh yep,
I only do abstracts when im really bored and im not inspired. I dont like them so much but they are good for impressing noobs.

I seem to be constantly developing my style through practicing abstracts which is great in a way.

I only like the part in the upper left corner. The polygons to the lower right, well, I don't really care for them much. I think it could be better. It's just a lot of polygons lapped over each other.

thanks for the comment dude, you are correct. Abstracts really do bite some major ass. I shall start moving away from abstracts once i gain some more experience in other fields of graphic design.

Well, there are different levels of abstracts. Even abstracts have different styles. The style you did I don't particularly like, however, I do like some type of abstracts.

nah ive gone off the whole abstract thing. Im probably going to get into 3d animations since i have adobe after effects 6 which is pretty cool.

Sweet! 3D animations are nice. Now that I have cable modem I won't mind the one second load time.

Yeah, Adobe makes some very nice products.
