My latest signature

This is my latest creation. Any criticism is welcome (asuming its constructive). Whats good? bad? and maybe what i could do to improve myselfe.

your sig looks really good, there is not anything that i can think of that you should change about.

Ichigo is the name of the character (the render) the signature is based on. (Ichigo is the main character in a Japanese anime serie named "Bleach" ).

A regular 1px border just to close it up. Or you could get fancy and make a crazy one!

signatures are lame. make some real art...
edit: dont mean to sound too pissed off or anything. but seriously...think about it. u take other people's work and then apply some filters or grunge brushes. slap on some crazy font. BAM. finished signature. wow. yeah that took ALOT of work. why not go from start to finish with ur own work? or atleast do some photomanips...

Signatures are not really my "thing", but I've seen enough of them here to know that you can't dismiss all of them so lightly - some people put as much work and thought into creating their sigs as others do when creating what you refer to as "real art" (whatever that is...)

Perhaps you'd like to post some examples of your own work in the Gallery before you start disparaging other people's efforts.

i already put my portfolio in the showroom...
o and btw...if they are working so hard then maybe their should redirect their efforts to produce things better than sigs. lol. dont want to discourage anybody. it just seems like a waste of an effot to me. u can produce things so much better than just sigs if u really tried. think about it.

Can you explain what you mean by "better"? Art is, by its very nature, subjective - what one person thinks is a masterpiece someone else will think is garbage - so how can you say definitively that one artform is "better" than another?

well first off. its not ****ing orignal to take other people's work. not only does the person who actually made the original piece get ripped but the entire piece at the end is basically bull****. the guy didnt make that ichigo. he didnt draw it and color it. the first step towards creating "better" art would be making your own. i'm not talking about the actual piece (whatever it may be) but i'm talking about originality, creativity, and all the other good stuff involved in created original work. sure a sig may LOOK better than some other art (since the definition of good art is subjective), but it is not original however. and what the hell is the point of creating something thats not urs? i dont care about the end piece (whether it may be a godly sig or some ****ty original drawing), but i care about whether that person is really experssing himself. i doubt what someone else made can really express another person EXACTLY. people all differ so for someone to trully express themselves then i believe they must create their own work.
plus...ripping off work sucks ass for the person who made it.

So your argument is not that all sigs are "low art" (or not "art" at all) - it is the lack of originality and creativity (in that sig-makers often use other people's graphics) that annoys you? Well, that's a valid point of view. As I said previously, I have no strong feelings either way about sigs but perhaps some sig-makers would like to voice their side of the story...anyone??

no before anybody does. first of all i did NOT say all sigs are "low art". i merely said the point of art is to express urself so what the hell is the point of making sigs (especially when u use somebody elses work)? they are art...just merely hollow or empty art. i doubt they really have any meaning.
sigs CAN be great art, if u THINK so. but i'm merely saying that i see no purpose in sigs (its like a dead end).

Zoltan: I like it. The colors look great together! The only think I might would change is the font. I prefer straight, thin fonts as you might notice

apparently nobody understands english around here. i said i THINK they are a waste of time. and u apparently dont understand sigs. most people make sigs just to show off. its mere eye candy. do u really think some 550x75 picture is gonna have some real meaning? go read what i said before u say anything else.
edit: and just to let u know...i like to work on much bigger canvases. 1000x1000 sounds about right.
