dang u guys are mad. lol. well first of all its logical that u can depict more on a larger canvas. u guys really dont know what i'm saying. i think ur just trying to find faults in what i'm saying just to retalliate or something. i think u guys should listen for once. i've already explained the process. art is to express urself. i do not believe u can express urself with a small sig. find a sig that has real meaning and i'd be impressed. a bigger canvas allows for more meaning because u can show MORE. more objects, or a better view of an object will lead to more understanding which leads to meaning. understand? wow. now i'm gonna wait for u guys to say something again. i know ur gonna try to find some crack in what i'm saying and ur not even gonna listen to what i'm saying.
edit: it is completly logical that a bigger canvas leads to better understanding. wanna know why? clarity. smaller canvases lead to smaller images. u cant tell what they are sometimes.

oh and btw, i think u guys are really taking this too seriously. u think everything i say is directed at u. like i said everything i said just to make u look dumb or something. its funny watching u guys just pick out words just to feel better.

lol. first of all this whole "incident" started out with a comment by me. i said "sigs are lame". so what? lol. i have a brain thank you. i have my own opinions. u guys are hypocites trying to act all righteous, ur just trying to change my opinions. i merely explained my ideas, to a very strong point. so it may have been a bit harsh. so what? lol u guys are getting mad over my opinion? ok great.

Well spotted - it's a process called "debate".

So I guess all the great artists who have been producing miniatures since Persian times have just been wasting their time (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portrait_miniature). Just think - if Leonardo had painted the Mona Lisa on a canvas 10 feet wide, it would have been sooooo much better!!

i'm just gonna tell u straight forward. that was the dumbest link i have ever seen used as support. first of all portraits RARELY have any real artisitic value. the best art pieces ARE NOT portaits. wow. i think i've just lost a large chunk of my respect for u. and yes, i do believe if leonardo painted his mona lisa on a canvas 10 feet wide, and kept the same ammount of detail per inch, it would have been much better. oh and i said bigger canvases mean more elements. so u even bringing up painting the mona lisa on a bigger canvas is illogical. if he added more elements and not only resized the mona lisa, then yes it would have been a much greater piece. it would lead to more clarity if he had resized it, but what i'm talking about is the real use of a canvas. adding more elements.

Hmm...another sweeping generalization. Can you back up this opinion with any evidence?

I'm sorry? Did you have any respect for anyone in this forum?

lol i dont think i need any evidence because its very obvious. but since u really want to know...and u dont know already (which is pretty sad in my opinion), i'll tell u. you see, alot of times rich people pay artists to draw for them. u know what screw that, u dont even have to be rich. even soldiers and such could pay artists to make them little things. so now i ask u. did the artists really produce something that has meaning or was he just told what to do? YOU think about it. and sadly u think i dont respect anyone in these forums. lol. i dont know why u would even say that...but hey, u can think whatever u want. i'm not going to try and change u. and if u call this debating...ur wrong. this isnt debating. obviously ur not competent enough, or logical enough, to debate properly. u dont even listen to what i'm saying half the time.

Debate:To engage in argument by discussing opposing points.

You have stated your opinions and I have countered them. What part of that is not "debate"?

ok what the heck if da vinci had painted her on a larger canvas and added more detail to her face then we wouldn't have been given the oppertunity to spark the debate and discuss the mysterey behind the simple facial expression loading her with detail would just take away all the magic that prompts ppl to discuss just what secret she may be thinking which is part of what makes the mona lisa so beautifull the simplistic part of her lol

Ow boy....i honestly never thought this would turn into such a argument.

xC4RN4G3x. You may have point here

u take other people's work and then apply some filters or grunge brushes. slap on some crazy font. BAM. finished signature. wow. yeah that took ALOT of work. why not go from start to finish with ur own work? or atleast do some photomanips...
but, i am not a proffesional artist. I lack the skill of proper sketching so making a nice piece of art by hand and scan it into my computer is not an option for me.

I truly wish i had the skills of a anime artist, but to achieve that kind of mastery takes way to much time and devotion i dont have.
So playing around in photoshop and making signatures and such is just a fun/relaxing hobby for me, nothing more.

So far so good.

But xC4RN4G3x i cant see what you are doing here. heck, you are probably a better artist then me. But This is a community where we all treat eachother with respect. And looking through this topic i generally cant say that you do.
So what are you doing here. Really? just here to show off your work? fine with me, i looked through your portfolio and gotta say good job.
But remember to use proper respect when you are interacting with other ppl around here.

enouth said about that. i generally would like to thank those who has commented my work
