old photo

I found this old photo of my Grandmother. I scanned it and tried to give it some colour, but I can only guess the colours. There must be hundreds of tutorials how to colourise, but I just used: select, quick mask and many layers.
It became a bit scary to see my grandma like this; she died long time ago.
The photo is about one hundred year old;
But I really like this image and if you have any suggestions or improvements I would really like to hear!

Kenneth, the link I like best for hand tinting is listed below. I have recommended it before and the remarks about it have been very positive. Of course, there are many more out there, this is just my favorite. Give it a try.

I'd say you did a real nice job on the colorising.
The only problem I see is that the face is too saturated compared to the hands. Take a little of the Reds and Yellows out of the face (or boost them in the hands) so they match and this'll be great.

There are also some speckles and a scratch you could work on. Do work on the saturation on the face like zapphnath suggested. What is the background on the left side of the photo? Is it really supposed to be that blue? Might want to take that down a smidge. Kenneth you do wonderful work, you should use this in your portfolio!
