i think it looks okay=] i use photoshop too. but the way i make my pictures is way different from yours. because you are probably interested in something else and i'm more into swirlys and those girly stuffs. =] but it's still cool though.

It's obvious that you know what effects/filters are available and how to use them. Things that need improvement: the obviously-photoshopped look and the mundane use of some very trite filters. Also pay attention to impact, composition and whether the piece is aesthetically pleasing. Don't mean to be harsh, just honest, which I assume is what you'd want.

What's CCS btw? Is it competitive?

The one thing that strikes me is your choices of colors. In many pictures you have the red, green, yellow. blue , green, red. aso.. A tip is to focus on maybe 1-2 colors for the whole picture. It makes the eye more pleased. Another tip is to get some books on color-matching, 'cause it is a most essential thing when designing a picture. Your color-matching can improve.
Sorry for my bad english. Hope u understood it all.
Anyway GL, and keep 'em coming

I agree with sticking to one or two colors overall for your images (if possible) -- you don't want these to come out looking like an explosion in a crayon factory.

Also, thin-weighted type often doesn't lend itself well to embossing -- I've found that thicker types like Arial Black usually do better. Overall though, great job! Keep it up.

IF I posted harsh, please forgive- I'm not good at candycoating stuff and yeah, I'd appreciate brutal honesty.

First things first: Even though you're not in CCS, or studied design yet, I think you'd be surprsed by how non-photoshopped text can make an impact.

Try this link: http://www.liquisoft.com/
Basically one of the typography pros on deviantART, and you can see throughout his whole layout, there was no "spiffy" text. Why? Because the text IS powerful. The combination of type, distance, weight and layout extrudes power more than layer effects can.

Observe, try and you'll see what I mean.

yeah, i see what you mean, i like the overall effect of the site, he keeps to 2-3 colors through-out, it has a nice impact, and grabs attention. thanks for the help again.

i did this one before i read ur post tn, lemme know if its an improvement, i tried sticking to a few colors like u guys recommended.

I would recommend some other colors, try matching your colors with this little tool:
