Yep, here is a banner I made for a website I am making. I wanted to keep it rather simple, but its missing some stuff.

Suggestions and helpful criticism wanted.

Hey, Mario, welcome to BioRust.
The banner looks good - nice color choice and the fonts are great. It does seem a little sparse, though. Perhaps some patches of that grunge effect you have along the side spread throughout the rest of it, faded into it, might give it a little more "action" without adding too much to it.

Hi Mario - Welcome to BioRust!
I like your banner idea. It looks like your site is based around sketches (?), maybe you can use larger parts of the sketch on the left (or something else) behind the Font to give extra emphasis on what your site's all about. Or add a tag line like ... "life's sketchy" (ok, maybe not)

Lol.. I honestly dont know what the website is going to be about, I just liked that sketch lol. Anyway, I am mainly using this little progect to get me into programming and stuff.

you input? its not done yet, and theres a version without the scanlines, so if u think that one would look better, ask, and ill post it up.

I can see the work you put into it! The scan lines don't bother me, except maybe where they are over the red buttons/lights. Even then it's no biggie. My only qualm, and this is just my opinion, is that your title "Neurotic Designs - The link between creativity and madness" is very cool, and the backgrounds work, but the military dudes ... hummmmm ... they say, "Neurotic Designs - Visitors Shot On Sight".
This is a programming project, so the design isn't the main focus anyway - you're creating what you like and that's all that matters!

It's looking good.. I say keep working on it and maybe make the text stand out more, perhaps a slight dropshadow would help the text pop more.
