My Comic

Here is a page from the comic I am working on. It's kind of like a hobby for me.
I drew it by hand, scanned it, and did a minuscule amount of noise-removal using Photoshop. Enjoy!

Nice work!
Not fair to give us just a taste though ... what's this comic about?

Basically, it's a deviant version of the ever-popular anime, Dragonball Z. I mostly draw it when I'm in Math class.

I have two more scanned pages, but they need to be touched up a bit; lots of smudges and scratches, even wrinkles (caused by my Math teacher as he tried to confiscate the book I was drawing in).

I like it - its got a unique style all of its own. Don't get too crazy about removing the smudges and scratches - I think if anything they add to the unique feel of the comic. I hope you make this into a proper comic series...

Oh, well, about the style thing....people are either crazy about it and love it, or they simply hate it. I simply HAVE to do all the minute details...its almost compulsive. One thing's for sure: my style's eye-catching. People have told me it's reminiscent of Todd McFarlane (ala Spawn).

From an artist to a fellow artist -- Yes, your style is eye-catching. To me, though, it seems to be pushing it a little with all the folds in the fabric and some details in the muscle structure. Not unless my eyesight is bad and a lot of these lines are connotating where dark bruises and such dirty spots would be. Realistically, though, you would need to tone down lots of folds and creases, whether it's fabrics or facial details.

I do like the fact you have the patience enough to put -so- much detail into a piece. Trust me, there aren't many artists out there who give that much effort into something.. Also, I like the sense and depth of perspective you have here; it's a refreshing view to the eyes. [[Most artwork I've been seeing as of late has been carbon copies of each other.]] I noticed you also know your shading -- placement seems to be proper, if I figured where the light source should be. xD

All in all, it's super. I like it, and you should finish it up. Colouring, anyone? ;0

Oh, I agree with you on all counts, comrade. Like I said, I'm obsessive with the detail, to a point where it becomes, shall we say, abnormal? Thank you for your kind comments. It always helps to have a cerebral critique of your work, don't you agree?
About the colours: Well, I do not have time to do it now, or for the first half of next year, either, for that matter. [I am just about to go through my Board Exams, mind you.]
So, if someone would like to volunteer to the chromatization in their free time or suchlike, I would be happy to oblige.

There is nothing wrong with be obsessed with detail! This looks fabulous! I'm working on a little something like this of my own, but your is quite a bit further along than mine is! Great job!
