'BCNTRC' or 'ECNTRC' which is it? other than that, it looks too flat. But that's just an opinion.

I was thinking something like this, although this is extrapolated from your posted piece and the quality sucks. (why do you use index color?)

Little tip: The .gif format is always saved as indexed color. When editing a .gif you can change the coloring type in Photoshop by going to Image >> Mode.

I dont think so at all, bevel and emboss is a bit "out" today, it's only used on crystal effects.

What you created, is nice, but it depends on your intentions, it looks like a bio chemical thing, it looks dark en evil. If that's your intention, that you did a great job, if not... well you havent :P anyway, always make sure u know where you're going when creating something, if it has a meaning, it's often to look better.
