April Photo/Photo Manipulation Assignment

A new month is here; therefore, it's time for yet another monthly assignment.

Photo Assignment:
For this month, we'll leave the subject rather broad. The April Photgraphy Assignment subject will be "Spring." This is whatever you think of when you thing of spring. No more than two submissions per person please. Also, have your submissions posted on photopost on or before April 30th.

Photo Manipulation Assignment:
This was kind of a flop last month so lets try it again . . .
I have, yet again, discovered a nice pic on DeviantArt and one that I took for you guys to manipulate. I didn't want to use flowers or anything of the sort to keep with the spring photo assignment due to them being less exciting once modified. These are each possible photos to manipulate. No more than 2 enteries per person please. Must be posted in this thread or on photopost on or before April 30th.

Do we have to use one of those stocks? Any limitations on size? Can we use other stock?

Yes. Use one of those two stocks please. That way everyone starts with the same thing. If Photo Manipulation flops again this month, I'll most likely leave it open to the user to come up with the stock.

I'm excited about this month's photo assignment of Spring and think that I may try my hand at the photo manipulation contest. I have never really done anything like that before so it might be fun!

Alright, we had five entries into the Photography Contest this month. Not too bad. All of them were very good making my decision difficult!

I have to declare WickedLady's "Floating" first place. I fell in love with this picture when I saw it. The reflection of the flower is just beautiful! I even like the two flies (can you spot them?). Go check it out if you haven't seen them.

As always, Lexiblue contributed some amazing photos. I couldn't decide which of the two that I liked better so I won't. Lexi's photos are "Peeking" and " Tulip."

In the Photo manipulation section this month, we had 2 entries.

Althought Cardmnal's "Oil Painting" was good, I chose Digital's "In Spring's Light." Good job guys. Maybe next month we can get some more enteries

Overall, this month has been the best turnout so far with entries. Let's keep growing for the months in the future.

Congrats WickedLady and Digital!

I really liked the lines, textures and balance of your photo WickedLady. The perspective is what really set it over the top...the angle added drama. I have to give a shout out to TigerEyes for the Spring submission. Your imagination and creativity gave me a hearty laugh.

I love seeing everyone's work...can't wait to see what you all come up with this month.
