March Photo/Photo Manipulation Assignment.

Alright, the community projects section has been pretty boring lately so I'm atempting to revive it with some new contests for everone to participate in.

First:
Photo Assignment.
Since Cindy has been MIA for some time now, I'm going to attempt to hold monthly contests just like she used to.

So let's get down to it. Here in Clemson, South Carolina, the squirrels are running rampent. Digging up their well-placed nuts and acorns that they buried this past Fall. So what better subject for photos than Wildlife?

Secondly:
Photo Manipulation Assignment.
I wanted to try this again -- We used to do them every now and then. To keep with the Wildlife theme, I have selected 2 images from DeviantArt for you guys to manipulate that keep with the wildlife theme. Funkiest design wins so remember to use your imagination.

Both of these will be judged on or shortly after March 31. You can either link your submission into this thread or upload it to photopost and I'll check them all out.

Stickied! I'm hoping to participate in this. Maybe if I have free time, something I haven't had lately , I'll give it a shot.

Do both images have to be included in the final piece? Or are these two possible entries you can submit?

Two possible entries. I liked both and couldn't decide so I thought everyone should get a choice.

You could definately mix them if you wanted though.

Actually it wasn't Cindy falling down on the job. She became busy and asked if I could do it. I told her I would. I became busy myself and put it on the back burner. I'm glad you took up the reigns Bub. So, same as before...entries limited to 2 pics?

I don't mind looking at more than 2 pictures but I don't want to be flooded with entries either. So let's keep it simple and say 2 entries per assignment/person.

I'm annoyed; I'm trying to shoot some wildlife, but it keeps running away!

That is, I've got a great base for shooting wildlife shots due to my living in the wilderness. However, I just don't seem able to have camera ready quick enough whenever I come across something big, nasty and horrible - like a moose. I'll keep trying though

lol, that reminded me of the movie Mr. Deeds with Adam Sandler.

On topic, I'm not much of a photographer either. I'm horrible at taking pictures of nature in general. But, practice makes perfect. The more you do it, the more tricks you teach yourself.
