blogSoft finished

http://blog.averill.co.nz

its all done except, im going to fix up the choppy edges on the frames and

ive built in a function to choose 1 of 5 guitar pictures and use it as the background, i was just wondering:

should i make it so that it chooses a random guitar and uses it throughout the session, and have a link "get new guitar" which refreshes it

-or-

should i make it so that it chooses a random guitar on every page?

im leaning towards the first because of consistency.

the layout is finished, and im not going to edit it, and the coding is finished all except for those parts above, currently its doing option 2.

c&c?

One things i hate about some websites is that they dont set a bgcolor. I having the browser background in a different color then white see where the layout ends and begins and all the individual pictures that ud want blended in the background. Set a body bgcolor to white to avoid this situation.

I say you should choose the second option.

It'll give you an effect like seen at http://www.rasterized.org

ill fix this bit up

--edit--

ive noticed that you only really get the guitar effect on 1280x1024 resolution, as in lower ones the guitar hides behind the frames, do you think i should move the actual guitar left so that its only showing the right half of the guitar on the edge of the page? sortof like the left edge is a dividing line down the image..

this isn't very good at the moment because people in low resolutions just see part of the guitar

OR!!! is there some type of way i can get an image that is like 50% colour, 50% transparent? .png files maybe? then i could set them to be slightly transparent and problem solved.

help appreciated
