yeah rendering 3d models in photorealstic qualities take ages. Ray Tracing in my opinion is one of the best things ever invented! what would i do with out it.

well my car didnt get such a good review at a different forum, so away i go and redesign the whole thing. I will leave making graphics alone for a fortnight, got exams. BUT when i come back hell yeah, it shall be even better than this one. I just want to get it perfect and the shape was never great.

the forum was somethingleet.com. i plan to redo it any ways, i have already modelled the tailfin, i am now working on the back of it. i want to get it as realistic as possible. Ive got the tailfin to the excact measurements so far. I want it to be perfect. Thats why i bought myself a £20 diecast model for me to take measurements from.

Seems like your going all out for this. I LOVED it, the people at somethingleet.com must not know art.

5-0: Cannot wait to see what you have... to get a diecast model to model this thing means you are going to make it better then the last!

this diecast model is awesome, fully working parts the lot, it is 100% accurate. i am doing it on the scale of the diecast model. this should cut down rendering times dramtically. I have already moddeled the back of this car. I will only show it when it is nearly complete. I want this thing to get me a decent rating. If i get every thing nearly accurate the surface effects shall cover it up like it did on the last version. Alot of time shall be put into making it.

I have also got a set of blue prints to assist me, this should make the modelling alot easier for accuracy reasons,

i am off school for the next to day to revise for exams, I say screw that my future is in 3d modelling and not some mock examinations.

Haha, if only we could just skip the crap that doesn't mean anything to us in the future.

How are you getting this diecast model done if I may inquire?

I believe he is using the measurements of it and converting it into a 3d model so it is exact..

well a diecast model is a toy car dude,
and i have got blue prints as well to get exact measurements,

heres a prewiew of the back of the car to show the details and the EXACT measurements of the baby. The windows arnt cut in yet, i am going to remodel the sides on the preview they dont look so great, to little detail.

hope you like the preview only a fortnight till im finished.
