Topaz Labs do it again!

Version 3 of Topaz Lab's excellent DeNoise plugin has just been released:

Topaz DeNoise - Remove Noise, Not Details

I have no hesitation in recommending Topaz's plugins: not only are they some of the best digital image tools on the market, they are also very reasonably priced. Certainly much better value than some extortionately-priced (and often not as effective) plugins I could mention.

I´m also a big fan of Topaz plugins, but isn't that feature already built in, in the Topaz Adjust version?
Topaz Adjust v.2 and 3 are the only filters I use these days and are highly recommendable, what they do for that price is truley worth it!

As I understand it, Topaz Adjust does have some noise-reduction functions, but the standalone plugin DeNoise is much more sophisticated and has more features.

I just bought the Photoshop plugin version of Imagenomic's Noiseware. I don't know about Topaz except from some reviews that put Noiseware ahead of the pack and Scott Kelbys endorsement.

Love it. It actually gives me two stops more ISO from my D200 for dark wedding reception scenes!

I currently use two noise-reduction plugins: Noiseware and Noise Ninja. They're both good, but I find that - depending on the image - one will usually give a better result than the other. The results from DeNoise still look impressive, though. I think I might download a trial copy and compare it to the other two.

I've lost a little faith in Noise Ninja considering that their website hasn't changed for as long as I can remember. Don't get me wrong . . . good technology is good technology, Unsharp Mask hasn't changed since the dawn of (photoshop) time.

It's just that the Noiseware application is SO much more sophisticated in what it can do for the same money.
