I was recently given a copy of a drivers lisence photo and asked if I could clean it up because it was the only picture she had of her dad. I only succeeded in making it even more blurry and distorted

This needs to be a battle! Who can improve a terrible picture the most without wanting to stab themself in the eye wins!

You know what is really irritating? My boss came to me today and asked me if I could do some add design. He gave me some guidelines, and there it was. But at the moment I gave it to him(mail) He changed to guidelines....

This happend like 5 times :@ aaargh! In the end I told him to give me the final idea, if else I would wait until he had it clear what he wanted....that helped

I know exactly what you mean... I created a flyer once for a manager... she looked it over... gave me changes... I made changes... she looked it over again... ok it and wanted me to print 200 on a color laser printer... printed said flyer 200 times... she then comes back and says she another change great waste of ink and paper

Oh, last minute changes -- to a final piece! -- happen to me all the time too! I made a poster once and gave it to my manager, who reviewed it and left it on my desk with no note or markings (my supervisor was out, and she normally leaves a note at the least); so with no markings, it was good to go. I printed it 36"x48" and then my manager comes back and says, "I want to talk about that poster." The only thing she wanted to change was to make something a little bigger and it looked no different than before. Don't give the proof back to me and then tell me hours later to change something.

The best, though, is when a whole team of people need to review the draft and they all have their "expert" opinions, especially on design. Not all of them are available and it takes forever to get approved and it looks like crap by the end of it all.

yah, i am beginning to hate architectural revisions.
print up a half dozen copies of 14 sheets each, so that they can all get (nitpicked is the wrong word) scrutinized. (thats better) and revisions noted on one copy and sent back.

repeat as many times as is needed.

who needs wood this winter? I think i will just burn all those wasted sheets.
I could roll them up to log size and tie them with twine.
