D300's drop D200 used prices

Interesting how new technology always drops the prices on previous technology. It appears you can now get a fantastic deal on a used Nikon D200 if you look in the right places and are quick to buy. Many pros and other D200 users are upgrading to the D300's now and with so many used D200's hitting the for sale sections and ebay etc. the prices are very reasonable it seems.

For myself... this is my opportunity to upgrade my little D40. I got the D40 about 7 months ago and it has served me well but... I desire more megapixels to allow for more zoom while cropping and I would like a more sophisticated AF system and lighting system... so now is the time to jump on a D200 for myself.

I recommend anyone else who has considered upgrading from a lesser camera to look at used D200's. Depending on your location and where you look... you likely to find some good deals compared to the prices for these models about a year ago.

yeah... I just got my deal and will have a D200 body coming with a MB-200 grip within next week. I am not sure if I will like using the grip or not so may sell if it doesn't work out.

I feel like a kid waiting on a toy to arrive
