Camera recommendations...
I'm thinking of buying a new camera, I would like it to be digital generally. I want it to do some real good quality photography. I want it to be one of those cameras where you take a shot second after second, real fast. I also want really good quality and I want to be able to take quite a few pics.

Depends how much your willing to, or can spend.
Canon D30, Canon D60, Canon 10D, Canon 300D, all great cameras, just depends what your budget is, if you are thinking of getting a D30, remember they are old and shutters on them are having to be replaced.
Another thing to get if your getting a Canon DSLR is a good lens, good lens means a nice sharp, crisp image, something that I persoanlly like more than sharpening it up in PS.
But, as I said in another topic Its not the camera that counts, its what the photographer can do with it.
Joe.

All there is to it, really. If you don't want a DSLR, you could always get a... -shudder- Nikon CoolPix 995. It's rather professional, for a... -shiver- non-SLR camera...

Not bad, the 300D is a great camera, it uses the same CMOS sensor that the 10D does (6 Megapixels) which gives amazing quality, as for buying the one on the link you provided, go for this one...
http://www.profeelvideo.com/showpage...506&manufid=13
This comes the the 18-55MM EF-S lens, which with the 1.6 crop factor of the 300D is a 28-88MM lens, while its not the best lens, its good for a beginner, and it saves having to wait untill you can get a better lens. A good lens that I can see on that site is this.
http://www.profeelvideo.com/showpage...ategory=Lenses
I know its pretty expensive but its a good lens, 16MM + the 300D 1.6 crop factor is great on a DSLR as a wide angle, the aperture, F/2.8 is fixed so it'll work well in low light conditions and you wont have to boost up the ISO as much.
Thats about all I can think off
Joe.

If I were you, I'd look for a Kodak Easyshare cx 6200. Small, low-battery usage, common batteries, 2 mega pixels, and a 4x zoom. What else would u want from a digital camera.

2 Megapixels on a point and shoot would not be enough to get decent quality photos, it would be good for fun shooting, for example, people, and shots in good weather, but theres not enough settings on it to get many different types of photos.

I have a olympus Camedia digital camera! It's really good for what it is most of my digita is done with it and the photos come out really clear and they aren't as expencive as cannon!
I'd go to a shop and ask them what the best! Coz like Joe said it's what you do with it that matters!

Im not a profesionalist with cameras, this one does the job for me and it didn't cost me my car, so in my opinion it's good enough

Or Be Like Me :D
and go with the Nikon D100 SLR wooh...only ... $1500 USD on ebay.ca for a dual lens package :P it wont cost you your car...you just have to save...if you want to get into photography do it right or dont bother...get something good you dont have to get the D100 theres lots of good cameras but no offence but a Kodak point and shoot 2 MP is a waste of money those are for like families and teenage girls who shoot 500 pictures of there friends a day...:P If you want to take really good art type photos and be digital i suggest eithyer getting a extreme top end point and shoot or save the bit more and get a nice Digital SLR...do some research fine the Camera for you...Now a days the leading brands in art photography seem to be Canon and Nikon check some of there stuff you dont need to be a professional to use them either...just take the time to learn what everything does take some tuts on the net...point and shoots are like trying to create a graphic in Paint...just learn what what does and what what means and you should be good

The *shiver* Nikon D100 *shudder* is way over priced, you can get a 10D for $1200 and IMO the interface is easier on Canon's than on the Nikons, anyway 3MP on a Canon D30 that I have with a nice lens (100-400 L *drools*) produces 10D quality images. If you really want to go for a Nikon *more shivers* then go for the D70, its basically a D100 with a few less features, I'd take the D70 over the 300D anyday.

Hi Muffins,
I'm in the process of putting my photography gallery together, I wouldnt exactly call myself an expert though
Hopefully if I use all tomorrow I can have it finished so I'll post it here for you to see.
