I do not use the digital camera, but my friend use a HP Photosmart E427. He says that the camera is very good and great pictures, 5x digital zoom to capture high quality images. What you think.

I use the Canon 30D. Like all Canons, the colors and images look great. They are smooth, sharp and detailed, without being harsh.

I use a Kodak Easyshare ZD710 7 megapixel 10x optical zoom lens. It captures the pics I need as a budding digi scrapbooker

It was interesting to se STM using a Sony Mavica 5mp - I had one and loved it, and after having a hard disc crash on my computer, I found the instant archiving on the cd's very useful!

I still use the 4mp Mavica at work, though I do find it somewhat slow now.

Unfortunately my 5mp has died on me and I replaced it with a Canon Powershot S2, though wasn't overly impressed with it, especially as the batteries would go without warning and the noise when using the telephoto degraded the pictures somewhat.

After using an in-law's Canon SLR it put paid to the S2 and I have just got the Canon EOS 400D that I am learning to use - I already had the Canon 35-80 and 70-30 lenses from my previous film camera though still opted for the dodgy lens (I wish I hadn't) as the 35 - 80 effectively becomes a 50 - something or other due to the sensor being smaller than 35mm. The Jury is still out on the 400D, flash pictures have been blurred and so have a number of other pictures - I haven't got used to the 9 point focusing as it sometime picks a point that I don't like and the point I wanted in focus is blurred.

I do like A1 Servo mode where the autofocus locks onto a moving subject - I tend to use this more though the point of focus is always central (though I may be able to change that but haven't found out how yet!)

I use a 400D all the time - it's great!
As for the 9 point focus thing - in the Creative Zone modes you can manually override the automatic focus point selection and choose the most appropriate focus point yourself.

yep and the small sensor is something many of us have to face. Most of the consumer low to mid grade DSLR's are all using a smaller 3/4 sensor which effectively multiplies the zoom range on most lenses by 1.5 factor.

I dream of the new full frame cameras like the Nikon D700 where I can hookup an ultrawide 11-16mm and actually get 11-16mm... though due to cost I will be hanging on to my D200 with smaller sensor for sometime I think but I do think we will see full frame cameras come down in price. I just seen that Sony introduced the A900 which is full frame and over 24mp. I think as everyone else jumps on this trend... the prices should eventually get cheaper as they get more popular. We can only wait and see.

I have been analysing the shots I took over the weekend on a family outing and the difference between the lenses is quite remarkable - the camera is still new to me so I still have a lot to learn - hopefully I will get to love it as much as my old EOS 1000!

I am currently shooting with the Canon 20D. It is a true "Work Horse" of a camera and I love it. Sure they have the 30D, the 40D and now the 50D which are all nice cameras, but I am going to stick with my 20D until Canon tells me that they can no longer repair it, which I am hoping is a VERY LONG time from now. ;-)

Hi!i am using a Kodak C330 4MP camera.I usually envy those guys using Nikon SLRS but in my own opinion, its in the creativity of the photographer how he/she sees or imagine the subject to look like and how one can do more editing photographs using PS..

Yeah but isn't the whole point of that article to say you can make an image with any camera? Not which camera allows you to do more different kinds of shots?

As in, you may not have that feature, but you can still make sweet photo's.

But if you really want a certain effect, yeah it will matter. But i believe that is not why that article was written.
