Webcam Video Capture

Hi to all,

is it possible to stream an AVI ("any" video) file just like a stream of a
webcam? My camera ist dead and I'll participate on a vide chat. I need
to send a video file just like a real webcam-captured image.

I am not sure I am on the right track here as I don't have a webcam. But, I did a search in Google Webcam Video Capture - Google Search

Maybe there is a free, shareware or paying software that will do the job you want.

try stoik capturer, it can capture input from a video device.

Capturing video from a webcam is easy, sending a stream of video is not... you generally need special software and equipment or a host that allows streaming.

Without streaming technology, you will only be able to transfer the whole video file to the receiver for them to view.

If the connection is quick enough, it may appear to be streaming as the data is transferring faster than the video is playing, however, it is not streaming.

More information such as the software involved on both ends will be necessary to help you further.

Its easy. Lot of programs can recordint webcam or other digital-stream.

This programs is good
- vmrecorder
- guirecorder
- game recorder pro
- hyperCam recorder
- hyperCam deluxe
- msnCamrecorder
- streamrecorder pro
- flashget or other download-manager(just if it have ip and openly stream... )
- mplyer (aka flashget)

And must 2 codec for good quality.
1. (just if u use win..) windows media codec pack (for opening, encoding and playing)
2. xvid codec (its free and fast and good ...)
