My dream is to have a Digital Rebel! Currently I have a Fuji FinepixA500 and it's okay, but has a lot of problems with noise and lack of clarity.

try cleaning the lens with a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol...

even if you don't think it's dirty, it could be. If it's a point and shoot, it might not be TTL so what you see through the viewfinder is different than what the lens sees...

Try using a mini-tripod or increasing the light on your subjects.

Also, when you press the button to focus, point the centre of the viewfinder at the darkest object in the scene... and while you still have the button down half way, move the viewfinder to where you want it and press all the way to take a picture.

This will improve the metering and ultimately the amount of exposure compensation that is used.

Mike.

Fuji S5 Pro is the same camera body as the Nikon D200. Compare both cameras and then make a choice. I had the S5 Pro and decided it was not for me, so i sold it and got the D200 x2.

Fuji S5 Pro is a nice camera. You will enjoy either of the two. So save up your penny's.

For what it's worth, I picked up a Canon Powershot S2 IS last year just as it was being phased out for the S3 IS for about $250 if I remember correctly. I'm no professional photographer by any means, but now, almost a year later, I'm still being impressed by the different features that I haven't yet uncovered. It's a little bulkier than some like, but I don't see myself replacing it anytime soon.

yeah canon is good. Powershots are good, even the lower models.

I have a Canon Rebel Digital XT. I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything. I believe the cost is around $600 now.
