Best shot you didn't get

We have all had those shots that would have been awesome had it been in focus, not had part of it out of frame, not had something else IN the frame, etc. What is the best shot you didn't get?

Here is a shot I wish I had captured. I got the first shot of the two ducks coming in but missed the second shot of them landing together.

The second picture would have been an awesome one if it would have turned out. All photographers miss shots, but I think that is kinda the fun in being at the right place at the right time and capturing it on a camera.

I know that the ones that don't turn out can be frustrating at times, and that is why I don't have anything to add to this particular forum. I get so frustrated that I just delete them.

But Lexi, even your "blurries" are kinda cool to look at....my parents have lots of mallard ducks at their house, but I have never seen two land that close together. I'm sorry that it didn't turn out the way you wanted it to.

I wasn't too upset about it....that is how you learn. I was just thinking that it would be cool to see other people's amazing pics that just didn't quite come out. Kind of like the one that got away!

Ok, Ok, I didn't delete all of my bad ones. Here are some that I took recently that I wish would have come out a little better. The first one was taken through a cage, and I just couldn't get in the right position between the bars. The second one is standing with such a cute stance, but the lighting is too bad for me to get the one that I wanted...But the ducklings have lots of energy! They sure don't stay in the same place very long.

These happen to be little baby mallards that my dad is raising. They are too little to be out in the big, swift river in my back yard, so he keeps them in a cage with water, food, and swimming room until they are big enough to escape predators and survive on their own.

I love the swift motions turned still in your first picture! Always liked photos like that! I can't consider either of your photos a shot you didn't get. They are awesome!

The best shot I didn't get was a double rainbow during a beautiful multi-color sunset that came from no where while my camera battery was dead and the spares were at home! I personally took this very seriously and cried all the way home deciding to NEVER let it happen again.

Hmm.. That's true, I've got also lot of pictures that was meant to be great, but finally are unusable :/ But there are also many of such photos that could be repaired using photoshop, so there's no need to worry everytime

there is one thing you can do...paint it in photoshop...
