3D furniture commission
The upcoming week, I will be starting out a series of large-ish projects. I will be needing to commission some 3D-work once in a while, and will be considering either having an "in-house" modeller, or using different people for different projects - most likely the latter.
In any case, for the first project, a small thing really, I will be needing someone who can do a nice render of furniture in a particular fashion. We're talking standard IKEA stuff here, by the way. And simply put, I'm wondering if anyone here feels up to it?
There will be pay, although most likely mainly symbolic, as I can't afford anything big yet. But I will be needing a 3D-rendering as per my descriptions of, first and foremost, furniture. Is there anyone here who's good at modelling just that?

Hehehe, yeah i wouldn't mind doing it. dont worry about pay or anything. I like to 3d model so i could do it for free. Just let me finish writing my blender tutorials and then i shall get started.
Are you also going to be doing some of the 3d as well because we then might have some compatibility errors but that can be sorted out later
So yeah i shall do it, furniture is pretty easy to make.

Nah, I won't do anything. I'll just be running a tiny media company, licinsing things, trying out ideas, that kinda thing. There are basically two things that can possibly happen: I can grow HUGE and you'll feel ripped off as I've given you small change for use of your 3D-work, or I can, a zillion times more likely, just dabble around like I do now :P
Anyhow, should I suddenly start making millions, well, I'll remember you

nah that would never really happen dude. We are only hobbyists down here. no one is professional so you could never make to much money and you will also need to know a hell of alot on marketing. Trust me i have had all of these ideas liek you have had but i no realise that they could never happen unless i have had about 7 years 3d experience and a huge base of knowledge on marketing.
Well i will still do some of the modelling but it will be pathetic to the 4 star posts you would see down at cgtalk.

heheh iv got their enw catalogue here. I am doing my own room project at the moment. I am using ikea furniture for references. I am then using new render features that have been included in blender. I shall show a preview of my scene. As for this little job. Me and marlboroman can share the task between us.

Wonderful! This is for a very, very specific idea I have, that I think you'll be liking. I just need a render, I'll describe it as soon as I can.
