Need ideas with cover page

Hello ...
can anyone help me where to find ideas of designing cover page for Lifestyle, health magazine...
so far ive done this...(attached) its pretty lame i think...
I need a design that in common with lifestyle, health, spas, holiday..something to do with buyers..

I would get some stock photography from someplace like Dreamstime.com or iStockphoto.com that is related to what you are presenting.

Also, my personal opinion is sometimes its best to keep it simple. Kinda like the old K.I.S.S. saying. Less is sometimes more. Keep colors simplified. Just because you have the option for 4-color printing doesn't mean you need to use all colors availale. Use brighter colors like reds and yellows to draw your eye to areas of importance.

Regarding fonts... try to just use 2 different fonts at most and make them contrasting such as one serif and one sans-serif or one with that is thick and one that is thin etc. Maybe look for a font that makes that "Easy$aver Pages" more exciting. I think that should stand out more and grab more attention. Why not apply an outline to it as well to match the text below? Also, when using red on fonts that are small... I would skip drop shadows... it makes text hard to read as the black and red are very close in hue to the eye.

I would grab a magazine somewhere related to health etc. and look at the ads in it. That should spark some ideas as well.

The colors do jump! You have a lot of unused space just under the logo that could be utilized better, I think. The image with the three people is very crowded at the bottom and the smaller text is a little too hard to read. Might be better to shift the people up and put the smaller text below them.

You should consider a more interesting font for your "Easy Saver Pages". It's a bit flat. Maybe you could design it so that it looks more like a logo than just text.
"Mega Sale Carnival" isn't centered quite right ... looks off. And could be moved into a blank area.

If you decide to use something from Dreamstime or iStockphoto be sure to read their license agreement ... there are stipulations to how many you can print.
