And, as of yesterday, we've managed to convince at least one major magazine publisher that we're legit (suckers!):

Check out our write up in TimeOut Chicago:

I'm with Mike on this one... Is it a lot of money? No. But it's not like you are being contracted to do something specific. You could do a poster of whatever and if you win, great, if not... oh well, we all do stuff for fun all the time anyway.

Kudos to Bill and Annie for trying to do something for themselves that could benefit everyone involved.

I mean do people pay you for submitting things for battles that you do on Biorust. Not usually.

Thanks, Stiney! And, you're exactly right: $20 isn't a ton, but so what? You could win that 20 for something you've doodled, or something you did for class. We wish we could offer $100 or more for each winning submission, but we're doing this from scratch, and not swimming in venture capital over here.

Hey, we're small. You're wary. It's cool, and we understand.

We are for real. Since I was last here, we've had some press in TimeOut Chicago: http://www.timeout.com/chicago/artic...racy-in-design

Indie comic book artist Jeffrey Brown submitted a poster.

We've been able to up our prize for a modest $20 to a still modest $50.

We've been able to start producing t-shirts.

We aren't a scam, we don't steal your rights, you keep the copyrights and do whatever you want with your work, etc.

I understand having your doubts about a new company, and it's not like I'm a frequent user of your forums. But let there be no doubts, guys: We're for real, and we're also here to stay.
