Hi kokopedal thanks for the response - actually, my name's Brian Trudeau, Jeff is one of my web clients. I did a "makeover" of his website (his original was:
Boston Wedding Photographer ). My wife however
does shoot weddings and I've tagged along with her a few times and you're right, it is hard!
So to answer your question if I did the website myself, yes.

The slideshow was created using a software package called ShowItNow (same website as the title). It's designed for photographers and has a super easy interface that allows you to time slides to any music you choose. It's worth every penny. My wife uses it for showing her weddings off to potential customers and it's very effective and obviously, it works well on the web.
The portfolio gallery was done using a free flash tool called SimpleViewer. Once you get some of the basic setup done and have it uploaded to your site, it's fairly simple from there to add your pictures, and it does all the rest. It's written in php so it's fairly simple to make changes to the code. For example, one of my other clients (
Angela Greenlaw Photography - Boston, CT, NY, RI, VT, NH, Berkshires, Western MA Wedding > Home ) didn't want the # of images to show up on the portfolio main page, so I just found that bit of code and stripped it out.
I'll be happy to help you get yours set up if you need assistance.
