Patchouli? Reeks?

Note to self: ... Don't wear Patchouli in STM's presence.

That's got to be one of the best questions ever asked on this forum!

How on earth does a cat get to smell of patchouli in the first place???

ok. this weekend my son hosted a concert of sorts in my garage. small acoustic gathering of about 15 peeps. sort of punk, sort of folk. peace, love, fight the opression of a greedy corrupt government, that sort of stuff. vagabond, carefree, your food should be grazing someplace so eat a sprout instead.
not entirely my scene but good hearted and harmless.

anyhow, someone there; probably one of the three squatter band members that came to play and slept in my garage overnite was wearing it.

squatter: a person with no permanent place. a rambler. see: rolling stone.

actually I dont mind patchoulli in small doses and as a light scent. its when its used heavily that it bothers me. when its all that you can breathe.

the smell is pretty strong in my garage despite my best efforts. and someone must have pet my cat.

and thats why my cat smells of patchoulli.

I'm sure that you are wise and grown up enough to wear it responsibly. now, im not trying to imply that you're old, just that as one ages they learn to refine things like perfumes and makeup to whats natural.

just as pre and young teens wear clown makeup, as they learn, they refine the art.

patchouli is just a bit dry smelling to me. its exotic in a "what i think the egyptian tombs smelled like when reopened" kind of way. Ditto for sandalwood. both seem like dusty, dry, scents of the ages.

and these guys had it on sooooo strong that 2 days after they left i can still smell it where they parked their car.

perfumes should be a subtle hint of scent that wafts over the nose but dosent overpower the rest of the scents that nature provides. a temptation if you will. a seductive invitation to come closer and sample the olfactory delight of pheremones mixed with perfume. and perhaps other intimacies.

it should not be used to cover odors. (or lack of bathing)

just my 2 (oh crap ive gone blind: cant find the cents symbol on my keyboard!! why do they do that to me. sure put the dollar sign on there but..... my computer dosent make cents. somebody stop me.....)

Yeah well, now the dollar is going down....why care about the cents. With a bit of luck you will have to pay more that you recieve when you want cents

That way you probabl have a problem getting different oders in the house than "non-bating" oder

Is that counting Unleash's post as another 2¢? (hehe, I found the ¢ key!) 2+6=8, not 10...
