yeah... our food prices are now on the rise as well and just as many places probably... its always more costly to eat "healthy" because many of the produce and healthier alternatives cost more than a burger and fries from fast food places.

STM... I am addicted to energy drinks these days lol. I don't do the coffee thing so that is how I get my caffeine intake. I love the Monster M-80 and Khaos. Red Jak is also good for the cheaper $1 price but my new favorite right now... Venom Black Mamba which comes in a very cool container with nice eye catching design. The design is just as good as the drink IMHO which is often not the case with many other drinks it seems.

yeah, sometimes I think they spend more money on can design than on flavor research.
one of the earlier batttles i participated in here was to design a product around a container. I think the container was a detergent jug. but it looked like an oil can to me.
anyway this was the result: BioRUST.com :: Your Source for Top Notch Photoshop Tutorials & Downloads!
sadly, for all the work i put into it, I was the only entrant.

would you try this if you saw it in the cooler synthetic?

some people seem to be aching for a battle around here.
perhaps to design an energy drink package and advertizement would be a good one!
I am willing to bet that most of the regulars here "run on heavy fuel"

LOL... that is hilarious STM. Like the name "Awaker State". But yes... not sure if I would drink something that looks like it came from oil can though... but I have been known to drink NOS which comes in a little bottle like the NO2 tanks used for drag cars

I'd be up for that kinda product design. I was thinking about this kinda thing when I found the Venom drink.

Yep - me, for one. My current drug of choice is Relentless Inferno, but this blog is quite interesting:
Energy Drink Reviews

Gotta say - that Black Mamba drink definitely looks the coolest of the lot. Don't know if you can buy it here, though.

never tried the Red Bull even as popular as they seem to be. I might have to grab one day just to try it. My friends all call me daring because I will try almost anything once... so they all wait for me to try new stuff and see what I think before they will buy it lol.

Red Bull is OK, but it probably wouldn't satisfy a serious caffeine-head. It only contains the same amount of caffeine as a normal cup of filter coffee.

caffeine for me not a big deal really... I go more for the taste. I think my tolerance for has gotten so high from my past Mountain Dew drinking habits that it just doesn't affect me as much as others. I can drink an energy drink and sometimes go right to bed lol.

I started drinking energy drinks on a whim. I am a limousine driver part time for a friend of mine whom I helped get his business started (created a website, brochures, business cards, logo and some advertising). It was a late night when I was sitting in the limo at a school waiting for clients to finish up at a prom when I was yawning a lot and felt drowsy. So... I thought I would give the energy drinks a shot.

It was the sugar free Jolt Ultra t hat got me started. I drink diet soda normally so thought this was a good alternative to sugar ones. It was really good actually. Its one of the most refreshing energy drinks I have tried. It's a little like Sprite soda but less sweet and has lots more carbonation so that it fizzles in mouth a lot but it quenches your thirst and it made me more alert. No more yawning and no jittery feeling I get with coffee. Its not cheap though... its a big can but in US its $3+ each. Haven't tried the others in their lineup.

So that is what got me started and now I am hooked... even on the sugary versions.

I didnt used to be a big fan of energy drinks.
didnt like the taste. a while back they put rockstar in the vending machine at work, now im hooked.
I'm still not fond of redbull, but NOS is ok.
found this one once but it disappeared quickly, forget the name, but it had 1000% the RDA for niacin. nice all over body tingle. face first, then all the way down to the feet. wouldnt want to do it often, but it was a fun experience that lasted about 40 minutes.
(for those that dont know, a large dose of niacin will dialate the capilaries and carry more blood around. hence the tingly feeling. again though, not something I would do often)

Hehe, thats more a drug than it is an energy drink...I guess it gives a lot of extra energy though.

About red bull, well its not the best of its kind, but if I want good energy drinks I have to travel about 100km....and I dont own a car The supermarkets nearby all have redbull and alike. So Im hooked to redbull.

So you could say I got a lousy supply line when it comes to red bull, and an air bridge is a bit costly for this, right?

I started with drinking energy drinks when I was working almost 24/7 to pay for my PC and stuff...And without sleep I got really yawny, and that doesnt look good at work. So hence the energy drink...they didn't full fill the sleep need, but they kept me from yawning.

To go off topic:

What do you guys think of the situation in Zimbabwe? with Mugabe reinventing his own dictatorship? Has it gone far enough for American forces to go in there and burn it all?
