well ever heard of "space-cake" ? Its something legal down here....but because everyone here can make a space cake, the coffeeshops came up with something new....
...
I heard of your coffeshops, but I prefer the pure Himalayas, so I Just booked my ticket back to Rishikesh! Hope to send some pictures later. Hare!

Thanks for the video, now I know that aliens look alike flash gordon who looks alike those maniac body builders

If you told me that in the first place, I would also be a believer but now I believe that aliens have different shapes and sizes than humans! wouldn't it be cool if aliens where like trees (but with the capability to speak) so that we can speak to the trees and that they return the favor....

lol...that's funny.

yeah... a lot of things that looked cool in the 80's seem cheesy by today's standards. Flash Gordon was one of my favorite movies when I was young. You have to admit... it had an awesome soundtrack... good ol' Freddy Mercury and Queen... I might have to find that soundtrack somewhere for purchase... I miss my old record of it

queen is still really cool! Their music is still great, even though they aren't making new tracks....

back to the trees, what about the amount of paper used by non digitalized photographers?

kinda hard to make new stuff when the key member is gone... but they are touring again with Paul Rodgers (from Bad Company I think) as Freddie's replacement.... just not the same

the amount of paper wasted by non digital photographers is like a drop of water in a bucket compared to what places like newspapers and other publishing companies waste (not use) but waste... no joking

yeah, but with photographers I also mean all the posters you see on the sidewalks, all that paper wasted on advertisment that nobody cares about! They better put it on the net, more people there and less consumption!!

But still every drop counts! I have heard to many people say that if only one does it it doesnt matter. And then afterwards continuing doing exaclty that what should be dont because of that, no, with that as an excuse!

on the Christmas subject, 2 words: WRAPPING PAPER.

at least most of the sacrificial trees I come across become firewood.
yep, just doing my part

drive the suburban out in the desert, find dumped tree from tree trimmers, take it home and burn it!
I gotta have a carbon footprint the size of Ohio.

Yeah you probably do,

and what about all the paper bags/cups that you use every day? The average office has to uas a lot of those cups.......A lot of them. And all because it is more simple, people just dont want to put effort into this....

(im not talking about all people, only some of them, like chinees. )

its really too bad that recycling has to be such a difficulty in some places.
where I live in nevada, in order to recycle curbside you have to order special baskets for pickup. they are supposed to come by once a week and pickup but, that isnt usually the case. the baskets are smaller than those baskets that you get at the grocery to carry in your hand while you shop. they dont hold much, thier too light so the wind scatters all the plastic and paper, and they stack. that makes it nice to keep them in a convienent place, but keeps them from being well filled.

in California where I grew up, they have at all grocery stores out front lagrish machines that accept cans, glass bottles, and plastic bottles. the machine sorts them, compacts them and pays you with a voucher good for cash at that store (like coinstar)
Its great! you never saw stray cans, or bottles anywhere. it was sorta like a work at your on pace job for the homeless. you would allways see someone there with a big bag filling the machine, and thereby earning some cash while cleaning the neighbourhood.
I had a very good friend that allthough he had a place to stay was jobless and considered by many one of "those homeless people" but the thig was that he could make over 100 dollars a day just gathering cans at the apartments and frat houses.

if garbage companies started charging by the pound, perhaps it would make recycling more on peoples minds.

when I am out in the desert I see lots of things that are just dumped because the landscapers dont want to pay to get rid of it. I found a mass of railroad ties that i retrieved and used as planter edging around my house. I would have had to pay $20 each for them at landscape outlets so that saved me over $2000!

yeah, we have got the same thing here, machines that sort the bottles (mostly beer and brand stuff)

ANd HUGE containers to throw the rest in, all to be recycled works for paper glass plastic and it really keeps the environment clean as well. No one is going to smash a $0.15 bottle into the wall(not here that is )

I hope that in the near future, there are more efficient ways to sort out waste and hopefully recycle it. I read for example what can be mad out of 1 plastic cup, well lets say you would be surprised

That is also a way of looking at it,

and with a bit of luck a plastic eating bacteria pops up and transmutes aaalll the plastic in those landfills into oil

But I think that that wont be anywhere soon(except for the bacteria maybe)...
