At my college we had a huge talk about creating comic characters etc. It really isn't at all useful. You should be fluid at doing life drawings ect and none of this comic book crap.

Are you interested in doing the type of work Duck Studios does?

When you can draw one you can draw the other..Sometimes..Im just as fluid drawing life drawings as much as I can cartoons I just prefer cartoons becasue Its more fun to me. I dont get much excitement out of life drawings but I can do them when I have to such as school art work and stuff I just dont prefer.Cartoons to me is just alot more fun and open minded.

Sorry to piss on your fire but i do not agree. Drawing comics and comic crap characters is easy. This is because they dont have any real proportions and accurate shadings etc. Real life drawings on the other hand take years to master.

I wasnt trying to say that if you can draw one you can drw the other dont get me wrong. I know there an enormous difference between life drawings and cartoons. Some people are just natural drawers and can flip flop either way. Im not saying anyone who can draw a cartoon can recreate a human form. Im just trying to say that as well as cartoons i am capable of life drawings I jsut dont prefer them. Of course Im not perfect at it and it would take me years to master but Im not that bad at life drawings and of course could stand to improve. Just simply trying to point out that some people can do both to make them look at least decent.

Welcome to Biorust, JRG.
I doubt that you can find a better site, if you are looking for "evoluting" your artwork etc. Well, I haven't...
Many of the users here posess a great deal of knowledge, just ask if you need help, and you will probably get the help quite fast.
And sorry about milkdrop, he can be cind of harsh sometimes. Don't be scared.
Good luck, but don't remember to have fun on the way there!
