There is actually.

All you have to do is go to dafont.com - I will provide you a link shortly - and download the Katakana, and Japanese fonts.

Now, installation is a different story, and really depends on which system you are using. I am using Vista, so it's really easy for me to tell you how to from there.

Search for "katakana" | dafont.com

There is a link to several Japanese style looking fonts.

Search for "japanese" | dafont.com

And there is another link to several asian fonts - Japanese to be exact.

The second link is probably the one you are looking for.

Istallation for Vista Users

What you do is download the font, ok? Got that done? Goooood. Now what I do after hitting that download font button is save, because that enables you to put the ZIP file somewhere on your computer where you can remember it. I put it into my local file, under a folder name "Fonts". Since I have so many it is easy to ascertain where I have them, and locate the specific one depending on where I saved it inside the folder.

Now after you picked where you want to save the font, and it finishes which should only take a second or two, hit Open. Now, Vista will come up with a message or two asking you if you want to allow this to happen, blah blah blah - just hit allow.

For me WinZip pops up and asks if I want to open. That is because I had to installed. I think the normal just opens a window with the ZIP file in it. When you are at the folder with the ZIP file in it double click on the ZIP file and then go the left shoulder where it says "Extract all files".

When you get through that there should be a .ttf file that is the font. Right click that and hit Copy.

Now you want to press the windows button and then E letter at the same time. That opens up My Computer. Click on Local Disk (C. From there you should see several folder, that have many subfolders in them. Don't worry about any of the folders besides the one named "Windows". Click on that to open it and search for the folder that says "fonts". Everything should be in alphabetical order so it shouldn't be too hard to find. Open that folder and paste the font inside.

Voila! Now you can use the Japanese font with the text tool. lol

Well xRobxscottx explained the font thing to you I see,
so no explanation from my part about that,

but still a welcome text
and as Turvas sais: *put a hearty welcome right here*
