I suppose.....

I suppose I should finally do this.
Hello all!!
My name is Alan Smith, I live in Taylorsville, Utah.
I'm 19 and I've been doing photoshop for about 6 and a half years.
I very much love photoshop and all it can do and am also very particular to alot of other computer graphics programs. I've been known to dabble in Cinema 4d and was very much in love with Flash for QUITE some time. I'm constantly making websites for my family and friends, and usually end up slowly forgetting about said website and eventually making a new one. perhaps I just like change.
I've been reading the tutorials on this site for a long time, and only recently realized that there was a message board involved to. and I now come and check it out on a daily basis.
Another thing I really like to do is film editing. I was in a class called TVTV (TaylorsvilleTelevision) all 3 years in high-school (we would put on an about 10 minute show everyday with news and such) In that class I did many things, I quickly gained my teacher's trust and started doing types of things that were pretty much unheard of in that class. Mr. Berns refferred to them as 'artistic' peices, but i thought that kind of made me sound like a deusch. but I kept on. My happiest acheivement from that class is making a commercial for the salt lake public library. hopefully I'll have a website up soon where i can host all my good projects I made in TVTV
that's about all for me right now. I hope I didn't sound like an ass...as I was typing some of that I thought dang you sound stuckup...but i can't think of how to word those things differently...so...yah..

Nice to finally meetcha Aldog! Its good that you are so inventive and creative whilst in high school - I didn't really get into Photoshop myself until I started my looooooooong university degree (5yrs). I think the most creative I ever got was editing the yearbook!

Biorust is full of people with different interests, and we attempt not to say that anyone is stuckup, or put anyone down, as that is not constructive, and is a waste of time.

Welcome to Biorust, and perhaps sometime you can show off your TVTV stuff.

Very nice introduction Alan. Sounds like you have quite a bit of history working with graphics. Maybe you'll be able to share your expertise with us and share a few tips.

Welcome Alan! Loved your intro.....no stuckupishness detected....you were great. I look forward to seeing your commercial and other works. I ususally do stills, but have been working with a documentary film maker this last year and have seen how much work/long hours go into a short piece. I honestly had no idea....definately have gained a whole new appreciation for film makers. Can't wait to see your work.

Lexi
