Illustrator Tutorials
Well, im slowly starting to get to grips with this mysterious application (its actually bucketloads of fun finding out what everything does!), so I was wondering what kinds of Illustrator tutorials you guys would like to see? I'll avoid doing simple 'how to use illustrator' and 'how to draw paths' tutorials because these are described ad-nauseum in the default literature, but i'm open to any other suggestions....

anything!
Well.. I have Illustrator 10, and only opened it once.. I would love to learn how to do something on it, but don't even know where to start. So.. for me, anything would be good.. simple is fine with me! but I know so many here are so good at it already.. I am up for anything you put out there.. I figured Photoshop out myself with help of tuts, this would be the same way I would hope.. Thanks Mog!

Actually, I disagree Milkdrop. We all learn in different ways - some people by reading tutorials, others by dissecting source files. I seem to learn by making tutorials... which is kinda useful to others...

Meh, m0g is right . I'm looking into illustrator myself (and I AM going through the manual) and would really appreciate some tutorials, but it seems to me that i'm no farther ahead than anyone here. So maybe i'll be the one to write a tutorial *wink, wink* *nudge, nudge*!

I've learned photoshop with tutorials and messing around with it, and sure, learning illustrator would be nice since it's vectors, not rasers
GIVE ME ILLUSTRATOR TUTORIALS!

Lol! I feel so bad, I'm always promising tutorials but I've never actually contributed yet...
I always get so busy for a few days at a time and my workflow is interupted, and then I never return to what I started.
BUT: I'll finish one eventually!

LOL! Worry not Evdawg, 'coz we all have real life and stuff to contend with! Life seems to conspire to keep us creative individuals away from our computers!

If this is still an option, even if it's ages since it was discussed last time, I could always type in some veeeery basic tuts to save m0g some time. I did at some point take classes in Illustrator, but that's more than 2 years back, and although I can do the very basic stuff to make logos etc. I don't think I'd dare write anything beyond completely introductionary.

Hey, a tutorial that explains the basic tools to make a logo would be utterly excellent!

Damn this topic old lol. An introductory to Illustrator would be EXTREMELY helpful. Over the summer I 'may' teach myself Illustrator. If I do, I'll post some tutorials.

Hey, anything would be nice! I will make a renewed effort to learn Illustrator (and redesign this entire domain) after my diploma is over in 5 months. Until then i'm just stuck with craploads of academic coursework. Bah! :/
