What we REALLY need is a traditional media section to our tutorials... so people can learn how to sketch, draw, paint watercolors, etc...

thats not a bad idea m0g.
perhaps that would make a good replacement for the wiki?
just cover the basics of all the mediums. color mixing, shadow, perspective, reflections etc.
i'm fairly proficient with a pencil and pen but only when it comes to non-living (zombies dont count

) things like cans and bolts and other things mechanical/architectural.
i think its just an extention of all the drafting i did. although I can say that shading makes all the difference between a drawing and a doodle.

Well, I always used to be jealous of the style of traditional media tutorials offered by the guys over at Elfwood. Perhaps you could take a leaf from their book and look at their presenting style?

neondragonart.com has some good tuts too. I don't remember if she still has the older tutorials archived, which were much more extensive. They were mostly about digital painting, but there was some stuff on trad media too.

How to draw is not easy,to explain, it covers a range: from perspective, to colour, knowledge.The rest is just practice.
I would like to help if you need any tut's!
And what format? Pdf, or meassure? pls.

I'm currently into David Hartman's stuff* after seing rob zombies animated video to american witch**.

What im trying to improve is pencil sketches (which of course dont have to be very perfect), and then do them in illustrator. I just suck at drawing. So clothes, shades, what details to think about and stuff. i try to copy his work and then draw something similar from my mind, but it's not going very well

So exactly what i want to see is how to draw a humanoid in different poses in a more cartoony way, not too realistically, and details on clothes and face and stuff like that.

I think you should try a Wacom Pen!
This was made in Ink, edited in Photoshop.
I made it long time ago, but still think it works!
